Steve and Falina Van Lewen are excited to delve into God’s Word with the young adults at camp. Previously, Family Camp at Peaceful Pines has been a treasured tradition for their family for many years. They have directed a couples’ weekend retreat centered around
John Gottman’s The Seven Principles for Making a Marriage Work.
Steve and Falina have been married 23 years (married at Modesto Church of the Brethren), have 5 kids (3 together), and live in Modesto, California. Their Christian faith and journey have truly sculpted their lives. Steve is a business owner (A Clear Choice Pool Company), and Falina, previously an elementary school teacher, is now blessed to be a stay-at-home mom. They know how important it is to walk in faith. They are thrilled to share and discuss scripture with the young adults at camp and see how God’s divine word speaks to the group.
This camp is for those in the age range 18 through 30.
Campers should arrive on Friday between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m.. The first meal will be dinner on Friday. Camp ends following lunch and cleanup on Sunday.
Be sure to bring your own sleeping bag, pillow, two pairs of sturdy shoes, modest clothing for warm or cool weather, personal items, bug spray, flashlight, and a Bible.
