June 14-16, 2024
6 PM on June 14th through the 16th at noon
Director: Kim Boardman
Kim is a long-time camper and leader at Camp! She brings a wealth of experience leading youth camps and family camps and now the women’s retreat!!
Resource Leader: Kathy Guisewite
Kathy lives in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia where she is daily restored by the beauty of nature. She stands in awe at the resiliency of the human spirit and how God continues to come to us through each other. She is happiest with dirt under her nails or paint stained on her hands. In her professional life, she works with both college students and older adults… fashioning bridges of care between the generations. She treasures her family including her beagle, Delilah, and all things that heal and hold us.
Theme: “Invocations of Beauty… to Heal, to Hope, to Love”
The lovingkindness of God is present in and through all that is beautiful. Surely, every encounter with luminous beauty is an encounter with God. So what is beauty and what makes it beautiful to us? How might we better attend to the deepest intentions of God’s use of beauty in our lives? How might we connect to God in spaces that seem void of beauty? And how might we earnestly honor our own beauty as valuable and purposeful? This retreat will offer spaces of quiet reflection, time in nature, an incorporation of various arts, and a gentle circle of care as we gather in renewal.
Mark your calendars to save these dates for another amazing, meaningful weekend at Camp for women of all ages. We will share stories, study scripture, enjoy great wilderness, and eat extremely well.
Please bring any musical instruments and/or art projects to share, along with recommendations of good books you have read.
