Welcome to the pines! Love and Laughter is a women’s retreat weekend, a come as you are , no make-up, comfy clothes, relaxing time in God’s creation. This isn’t a dress your best, look the finest. This is a refill and replenish weekend. Our hope is that the pressures of the world will stay at home and while you are here you: find true connection with Jesus, make new friends with Christian women, and develop a deeper love and relationship with the Lord and yourself. Whether a new believer or one who has served Him for years, we hope to replenish your soul with Truth from the Bible and fill your lungs with laughter.
Location:
Camp Peaceful Pines has served as an outdoor ministry for over 75 years. This peaceful setting in the pines offers a unique opportunity to soak in God’s creation. The campgrounds are VERY rustic, which offer: bunk beds, shared bathrooms (toilets and showers), dining hall, campfire pit, volleyball courts, ping-pong and creek flowing through the center of the grounds. By being on the more rustic side, this camp allows you to feel like you’re out in the woods without sacrificing some of the comforts of home, think of glamping!
Theme: Responding to God’s call: Overcoming fear and trusting in His plan.
Your Hosts:
Sara Witzke – Sara is passionate about the outdoors and feels most connected with God in his beautiful creation. She grew up attending Camp Peaceful Pines as a toddler and later got married on-site in 2011. She loves bringing her 2 children to camp, and has a deep passion for sharing camp with others. You may find her walking through the pines barefoot.
Emily Jenkins- Emily, a sinner saved by grace, is a devoted wife, and mom of 4 boys. Emily loves being out in nature, hiking and enjoying Gods creation. Camp is special to her because it involves 3 of her favorite things: Jesus, fellowship and nature!
Kim Krantz. Wife to 1, Mama to 3 with one more in heaven and friends to many. Kim was Catholic raised but now saved by grace! She loves Jesus, passionate about health, wellness, and reading. Fascinated by God’s creation, and loves learning about all the things God gave us in nature to use for our good! He’s such an amazing God.
Speaker:
Deb Tate- Deb is a retired high school math teacher who gravitated toward students who hated school, hated math, and hated her. “Let’s go!!” She learned how to build productive relationships with her students while being a single mom to her son (who hated school and hated math). God used that as training for her calling in this season to work with youth who come with parole officers and women who come with addictions. He blesses her as He walks with her through her own hurts, hang-ups and habits (does anyone recognize that?) and is patiently teaching her what true unconditional love is.
The details:
